Start up of large-scale outdoor project in Veitsbronn There is good reason why the municipality of Veitsbronn came right at the top in the Solarbundesliga (Solar federation league) during the Fürth district evaluation. The citizens of Veitsbronn make considerable use of the sun’s energy to generate heat and electricity and therefore deserve to be at the top of the league. |

The Veitsbronn municipality hit another bull’s eye in the league when it commissioned its open-air photovoltaic plant in December 2009. Since the 761 KW plant has been connected to the grid, it has catered for the average needs of approximately 250 families. 4020 CSI brand high-performance solar modules on stilts on open ground west of Herzogenaurach collect the sun’s energy and convert it to electricity. In order to feed it to the grid, the direct current is converted to alternating current using well developed dc-ac converters from LTi REEnergy GmbH in Unna. This solar farm was designed and built by Krannich Solar Projekt GmbH in Weil der Stadt in Baden¬württemberg in collaboration with Zollfrank Solar & Haustechnik GmbH in Herzogenaurach. Once the plant had been designed and built, the million-Euro project proved itself to be highly profitable both financially and ecologically.Although the photovoltaic project is visible, it blends discreetly into the landscape. |
