Solar power before the portals of Olympus

Olympus (Greece)

With its headquarters in Thessaloniki, Krannich Solar Mon.E.P.E. has supplied the Greek solar market since 2007 with approximately 700 kW and, through targeted advanced training and instruction, systematically brought quality to Greece. “The solar boom in Greece poses a particular challenge for the handwork involved“, says Alexandros Athanasiou, Managing Director of Krannich Solar Greece, “the practical transfer of technology here not only demands a direct inflow of know-how, but practical assistance to promote self-help“. In addition to the installation of numerous island systems, the first mains supply plants will be connected to the public mains supply in the summer by the Greek partner.

94 kWp with 700m² module surface were installed early in the year in Larissa, Thessaly. The project was supported on site by the Greek partner Apostolos Bobolas, Larissa. 26 SMA Type 3800 inverters transform the current gained for mains supply.

The mains supply plant, planned and installed by the local distribution partner, KLT Energy AE in Thessaloniki, was dedicated in a celebratory event on the 9th of July. With 96 Heckert HS-PXL 205 solar modules and 6 KACO Type 3501 xi inverters, the plant has an output of about 20 kWp.

Two further 20 kWp mains supply plants are installed on the roofs of the municipal administration in Simi on the Greek Dodecanese. The plants were installed by Energotexniki, a company located in Edessa, and consist of 210 SunTech SU-STP 190-18/Ub solar modules and 6 SMA Type SMC 7000 TL inverters. They will be commissioned in August.
